THE NEED IS GREAT

Imagine being separated from your spouse and family for months or years. How would you feel missing your children's birthdays and school events, time with your spouse, and life as you know it? For the men and women of our military, these difficulties are a reality as they are apart from the ones they love while fighting for our country.

Regency Homes and Betts Auto Campus proudly present the 2008 AFC Golf Challenge on Monday, June 9th at the Des Moines Golf & Country Club. This membership-only course which hosted the Twentieth United States Senior Open Championship will be open to anyone who wishes to join us for the day! The event is limited to 72 teams. The tournament will be flighted and awards will be handed out immediately after play.

2008 AFC Golf Challenge Weather Contingency Plan

As with the nature of an event like this, we understand there may be inclement weather. In the event of a rain delay we will hold all golfers, volunteers and staff into the Des Moines Golf and Country Club banquet room until we are released by the Director of Golf and the Director of Grounds.

In the event of rain: if no golf is played rain checks for 18 holes will be issued. If between 1 and 9 holes are completed by the majority of the field a rain check for 9 holes will be issued to all participants. If 10 or more holes are completed the event will be considered complete. In all instances food service will be as scheduled, the day of the scheduled event.
